08.00: Depart from your hotel in the city center by private vehicle and head to the Mekong Delta.

09:30 – 10:00: Arrive Tan Phuoc, visit the local market and immerse yourself in the rustic lifestyle of the Mekong Delta. Afterwards, walking to the pier.

Take in the tranquil river views, with sand barges and boats brimming with tropical fruits drifting by. Discover age-old fishing practices like traps and nets that showcase the Mekong people’s way of life. Wander past stilt houses and floating huts, capturing an authentic glimpse of life along the riverbanks.

Visit the Cao Dai Temple, a distinctive religious site found only in Southern Vietnam.

Located in Tan Phuoc, Tien Giang, Kho Hien Trang Temple is one of the oldest Cao Dai temples in the Mekong Delta. First founded in 1927 and rebuilt in 2016, it features colorful architecture, sacred symbols, and a peaceful spiritual atmosphere. A visit here offers insight into the unique Cao Dai religion and local cultural life.

A piece of history: In 1967, this area was struck by two American B52 bombs. Strangely, neither exploded. Local people repurposed the bomb shells and explosives to make weapons during the resistance – a testament to the resilience and courage of the Mekong people.

Visit Mrs.Bay to learn about the traditional craft of weaving baskets, hats, and bags. Try your hand at making a sedge bracelet as a keepsake.
